Poetry Evaluation Service for Single Works
If you are a writer of poetry, you may apply to take advantage of our evaluation and/or editing services for single works.
Description of services:
Evaluation for poetry will include a detailed analysis of craft, including (when appropriate) an appraisal of the work’s traditional or experimental form with a discussion of its use of line breaks and stanza breaks to manipulate focus and meanings; a consideration of its pacing, context development and theme development, of its use of selective detail, dialogue, imagery or other features in its management of atmosphere, mood and development of the speaker; its POV; its diction and rhetorical style; and its total effect on a typical reader.
Also included will be advice on seeking publication for the work.
