Editing Services for Single Works

Description of Services: Editing services for single works of poetry or prose will include, when appropriate, suggestions for substantive revisions in concept, form, organization, grammar, usage, diction, and phrase and sentence structure.

Summary of fees for editing of single works:

$35 (USD) to 500 words (minimum fee)

$50 (USD) 501-1000 words

$75 (USD) 1001-3000 words

$100 (USD) 3001- 7500 words

Longer works by negotiated arrangement.

Editing Services for Manuscripts

Description of Services: Editing services (MLA Style-sheet) for manuscripts of poetry or prose will include when appropriate, suggestions for substantive revisions in concept, form, organization, grammar, usage, diction, and phrase and sentence structure.

Summary of Fees

Poetry MS editing fees:  

$100 (USD) for first 350 lines (minimum fee)

$10 (USD) per 100 lines or any portion thereof above 350 lines for balance of MS

Prose MS editing fees:

Our Evaluator and Editor

Jeff Streeby IS O:JA&L’S Associate Editor For Poetry & Prose. He is a Pushcart Prize nominee and a nominee for Sundress Press' Best of the Net Anthology and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in poetry from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. He is an award-winning and frequently published mainstream poet whose work has appeared in over 40 literary journals in the US, the UK, Ireland, and Asia, including Contemporary Haibun Online, Haibun Today, Naugatuck River Review, Rattle, and Whiskey Island. His haibun “El Paso: July” was selected by Robert Olen Butler for inclusion in The Best Small Fictions 2015 from Queen’s Ferry Press. Streeby is a writing consultant for second-language academic writers working in English. He has over 30 years experience as a teacher of English language and literature at secondary and university levels.
